And we are back! Didja miss me?

Presenting, for your reading pleasure, the Eighnnnnnnn... number after 7 installment of my epic-strength Discworld Fancomic Glom of Nit! In this installment of the further adventures of Terry Pratchett's mailmen extraordinairre, some various trolls on all three sides of the law show up and a rumpus occurs.

This has been a long time coming! Sorry it's been so long since the last installment! 5 months by my count, we skipped right over the 1 year anniversary! I had a Hogswatch episode planned that didn't happen. This is just as well considering it's a multipart story, with guest artists for dream sequences and all kindsa crazyness. Just gives me more time to prepare for Decembuary 2012!

These strips keep getting longer and longer, I can't understand it. I have 20 pages worth of Glom completed! How far can I go? All depends on my time and enthusiasms. Lots of other projects have been popping up lately, hence the gap between episodes. I've got plenty of ideas, it's just finding the time to bring it all together. You know how it is!

I still have no idea as to the possibility of us doing Glom in an official and book-bound capacity. I got to talk to Terry a bit when he visited the US on his Snuff tour. I get the feeeeeeling he's not too keen on anymore Discworld Graphic Novels, the other ones already existing being none-too-spectacular, and Terry's plate being enormously full. There hasn't yet been any instance of another author full-strength writing Discworld Characters before, and I doubt the whole concept is high up on his list of important things to think about.

In the meantime, I'm working at art director for the 2013 Discworld Convention, writing my handfuls of next books, publishing a book I haven't written, getting engaged, visiting Europe in May, watching Doctor Who, etc. What's up with you?

ALSO! New wallpapers have been added to the 'fun stuff' section of this website.

Hello! Welcome to the Glom of Nit website! I'm the writer and artist Ray Friesen.

This is a fancomic for the wonderful 'Discworld' comic-fantasy-satire book series created by Terry Pratchett. I don't have his permission to be playing with his characters (although I hope that if he were to read this he would chuckle at it) -- I am not making any money or selling any products, and am not meaning to infringe or besmirch him in anyway. I am doing this comic with the best production values I can, for my own amusement, and the hopeful enjoyment of anyone who reads it.

This webcomic is set in the Ankh Morpork Post Office, and stars Tolliver Groat and Stanley Howler, as introduced in the Discworld novel 'Going Postal'. There will be cameos from every Discworld Character I can think of a funny postal complaint for. Is there a character you'd especially like to see? Or something else you think this website should contain? Email me and let me know!

Comments, Questions, Compliments, Typo Alerts, and assorted root vegetables are all welcome.

About Me:

I am a professional cartoonist and graphic designer living in California. I designed the official 'Dweenicons' magnety coasters guys for the official Terry Pratchett merchandise company PJSM prints, and was the graphic designer/ souvineer book editor for the 2011 North American Discworld Convention. I'm soft at work doing the same pile of things for the 2013 Discworld Convention.

I collect hats, and chocolate smears on my tshirt. I publish original graphic novels, and draw a weekly webcomic called 'Pirate Penguin Vs Ninja Chicken' Vol. 1 of which is now available in hardcover by Topshelf Comix. Book 2 is about 30% at this point in time.

You can see all this original work of mine on my personal website, DontEatAnyBugs.com.
